the purpose of time:
to create space
for gods to play in
~~~~~
the veil is thin
in moments of death, and birth
mists give way to morning
~~~~~~
waking to birdsong
and a cat insisting on breakfast
the world spins
every day appearing the same
every day a new miracle

Haiku and Tanka for days 13, 14, 15 of NaPoWriMo. Obviously not using the prompts, but still participating. 🙂
I have never been much of a poetry buff, but I am loving your verses. Brilliant!
Thanks, Helen! I am no master of poetry by any means, and mostly don’t know what counts as good, but I do love these short quips. They feel like tiny windows on life. 🙂
