clamors in a cacophony of frogs
lighthearted madness
a soundtrack to the sunrise
as the moon falls from the sky

Exploring new poetry forms. This is Tanka, a Japanese form with lines that are short, long, short, long, long. Similar to the Haiku, but with two additional lines. You can read some Tanka poems here. Expect more of these – I think they might be as fun to play with as Haiku. 🙂

First, so glad to read your work, again. I have missed it. In this one, I can hear what I see, which is always a delight to the senses. Great work, Amy!
