Word of the Day:
alembic \uh-LEM-bik\, noun:
1. Anything that transforms, purifies, or refines.
death is
the alembic truth
that brings us to
the awareness
of impermanence.
attachment
induces suffering ~
letting go
allows us to love
much more deeply
than we ever dreamed
might be possible
if death is a delusion
so then is life
and when we know this
all suffering ceases
and we Live
much more fully
than we ever dreamed
might be possible
What a wonderful word. I’m going to see how I can get it into my vocabulary at some point this weekend. Orchids are always stunning and this Phalaenopsis orchid is a beauty. thank you for sharing.
It IS a great word, isn’t it? I just keep playing with it. As for the orchid – I have a few of them – I really love them. Funny thing – we’ve lived mostly in sunny climates, where they had big lovely blooms. This past year we’ve been in gray, rainy Washington state, and when they bloom the flowers are much smaller…. just kind of interesting…
well, we all need light to bloom!
All transformation is a death of sorts. We are taught to fear death and all transformation when it should be the other way, to embrace that which transforms us into our highest selves. You wrote that so beautifully that I plan to share it.
Thank you
Thanks, Cheryl. Happy to have you share it. My ego would like credit somewhere along the way
but mostly I’m not attached. Share as you see fit.
Purple is one of my favoriate colors. Beautiful photo.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Beautiful.
thanks, Pierr.
